Born in September 11th, 1986 Nanda discovered her passion for books reading through her mom’s library, at the age of 10. Her first book was Agatha Christie’s “The Hollow”. After that she never stopped reading becoming soon a bookworm/bookaholic.
In High School, during Literature/Composition classes, she found herself in love with Poetry and started writing more and more. But it was only recent, January 2011, that she decided to invest in it as a therapeutic process. And here we have the results of it.

“I don’t know who I am nor what I’m writing about: I’m trying to figure out feelings.”
This made me stop and wonder… If we let our feelings figure us out, would they tell us who we are?
This is such a nice question, Anne. I don’t know, I don’t think so. I don’t think our feelings can define who we are…
But I do know that if we don’t know our feelings (our real feelings) it is very difficult to know who we are for sure. Does it make any sense? What do you think?
Sure that make sense.
I don’t think of feelings defining me. I write them down in stories and so then they show me a lot about myself. I can see that I’m really hurt and even lonely sometimes and I really want someone I can trust. I want to be a mother. I’m afraid of heights. I have a weird thing about trains. I stress a lot over a puppy I found once. I worry about old age, and life passing me by and stuff like that and it all shows up in what I write. So if you look at all the stuff you write… your feelings… who do they see in you?
I never thought about it… I think I show a side of me that I’m not willing to share with most of people: that i’m lonely and insecure and hopeless… things like that. But writing it I see as way of getting rid of it too!
Does it work?
Pardon me butting in Anne & Nanda! But I agree with this one, Nanda – writing shows a SIDE of you & I’m lonely & insecure & I do feel hopeless sometimes – and yes, writing is a way of getting rid of it.
We’re all on the same page!
It’s like a long and hard process… But I would say it does. I’m beeing able to understand a lot of stuff about myself that I didn’t see before…
We’re all different. I definitely see those feelings coming out in your poems that I’ve read. They seem to be a beautiful part of your creativity, maybe something to be embraced rather than exorcised.
For me I find that it’s writing that makes me feel lonely and sometimes insecure. It’s silly, but I feel like no one cares that I’m writing and no one will read it when I’m done. Once I’m finished, it all goes away, but then as soon as I start writing the next one, it comes right back again. Part of that might be from writing autobiographical fiction which requires a lot of compartmentalization, I don’t know.
You just made me think about a bunch of stuff at the same time. I don’t even know where to start! haha.
Can I send you an email?
Sure if you want…
Sent!
